bleeding blue

In case you didn’t know, I’m a Kentucky girl.  I feel very privileged to have grown up there.  Beautiful land, southern hospitality and fierce loyalty to our beloved Kentucky Wildcats.  This basketball season has been nothing short of outstanding.  I have watched almost every game and cheered on the Cats at every turn.  And what’s most exciting about this team is that they are a very young team & insanely talented.  And no matter what you think of John Calipari as a man, he is a good coach.  And I’d just like to leave it at that because moving to Memphis just as Coach Cal left the Memphis Tigers to coach Kentucky, we could get into all sorts of debates, discussions, arguments, etc.  But he was given a job to do & he did it well.  So CONGRATS to my Kentucky Wildcats & Coach Cal!  The National Champions title is well deserved!  I’m so proud!

But I can’t say I’m too proud of some of the behavior of the Kentuckians “celebrating” the win.  Show a little class, Kentucky and let’s not make national news for hurting one another.

I know most of you probably came here expecting something completely different but I’m sporting a major Wildcat hangover after last night’s game and well…. Kentucky & basketball are a big part of my upbringing so I had to give a shout out to the Bluegrass state.  I may have lived in Tennessee for a good many years now, but I still bleed blue.  Now, I’m off to order my National Champs t-shirt!

Sweet! I am a Kentucky girl too! How cool was that win last night? Loved it (even though it made me nervous to watch).

Yes, I was a nervous wreck. But it was such a great game and the Cats deserved the win. It was AWESOME.
