Meet Chaz – a sweet, 3 month old baby boy that I had the honor of photographing this past weekend. I admit, I was a little nervous. Chaz was the first baby (aside from my own kids) that I’ve photographed. And he did prove to be a bit of a challenge for me. He was not diggin’ being on his belly at all. So we tried propping him up on pillows, his bouncy… Nada. He wanted his mommy. However, we did discover that he was happy lying flat on his back and kicking those tiny legs. So we went with it. However, most of the shots are the same and I guess I wanted more variety to present to the parents. So I’m gonna have to dig deep for more creative ways to photograph babies in the future. Still, I had a few favorites from this session and I think (hope) the parents are happy with the results. ;)
This little guy made me almost want another one. Almost. ;)

Oh Courtney! It always helps to have an adorable subject but your pics are AMAZING! Oh when I have my next child I just might have to fly you down here? Are you up for that! LOL! My favorite pic is the one of them holding hands!
what great shots here, I especially love the black and white ones and the hands, beautiful!
Courtney – GORGEOUS shots. Truly beautiful and so sweet!
Hugs,
Jill
What a pretty baby.
So precious!
I had the same issue when I photographed my first baby. He layed on his belly for a few minutes but not long enough to really get any cute shots. The ones you got are fab!
I’m sure the parents will be excited!
He has got the cutest little face! I think you did a great job! I love the black and white one with the hands. So sweet!
Courtney, these are fantastic! I like how you have a distinctive style already…like I can look at these shots and know they’re yours by the processing. I don’t have a certain style (yet?)
and I think it’s wonderful that you do. I think you did a super job!
Both of our boys enjoyed being on their backs rather than their tummy, too. These are great! I think that it’s perfect that you were able to get baby Chaz to look right at the camera…I mean, look at those gorgeous eyes!
Beautiful! Such beautiful moments were captured! xo
What a little charmer
love the softness. Cute babyshots.
You got some great shots! I agree… babies are tricky!
These photos are beautiful. I could just eat him up!
So… I’m just now catching up on my blogging… don’t tell work… and I love ALL these photos!!! Come to find out my poor guy had another ear infection so considering that- you caught some good shots!! Can’t wait to get my order in and put them on my wall! Thanks again!!!
